A Valentines Day Poem

Roses are red, violets are blue,
Don’t get me flowers, I already have to take care of your children.. and take care of you.

Don’t get me candy, chocolate or anything like that,
These days all I have to do is just look at food and I will get instantly fat.

Don’t get me cards with a long poem or wacky rhyme,
I’m busy taking care of every single thing around here, and I really haven’t got the time.

If you really want to make me happy on this bullshit Hallmark holiday,
Then take the dogs and the children somewhere far, far away.

You see, while single women see jewels or clothes and hope, gee, I hope he’ll buy it,
What moms really want for Valentine’s Day is some peace and fucking quiet.

Haha. That’s awesome. My mom loves getting the gift of a local hotel room – so she can go get some ALONE time. Date: Fri, 14 Feb 2014 18:53:34 +0000 To: jaredawest@hotmail.com
